Global Rosary for Peace

Responding to the Holy Father’s call to pray for peace, parishioners and friends gathered at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima for the Global Rosary for Peace, joining Catholics around the world in entrusting the needs of humanity to the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The evening began with the ringing of the church bells, a solemn invitation to the faithful to unite in prayer for a world increasingly marked by conflict, division, and uncertainty. Through the praying of the Holy Rosary, participants offered their intentions for peace among nations, within communities, and in the hearts of all people.

Each Joyful Mystery was accompanied by a special prayer intention, inviting reflection on the many challenges facing our world today. During the prayer service, participants lit candles as a visible sign of hope, faith, and trust in God’s promise of peace.

As a parish community, we continue to seek Our Blessed Mother’s intercession, praying that hearts may be transformed, reconciliation may prevail, and Christ’s peace may reign in our world.

Spiritual Recollection for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

As the Church prepares to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) of our parish gathered for a Spiritual Recollection centred on prayer, reflection, and Eucharistic devotion.

The recollection began with a period of Eucharistic Adoration, providing the ministers an opportunity to spend time in the presence of the Lord and deepen their appreciation for the sacred ministry entrusted to them. The burning of incense during the devotion served as a reminder of prayers rising to God.

Fr. Andrew Manickam led the ministers and parishioners in praying the Rosary with Eucharistic Meditation, followed by the Litany of the Most Blessed Sacrament. Together, the faithful reflected on the gift of the Eucharist and the call to discipleship.

In his homily, based on Mark 12:1โ€“12, Fr. Andrew reminded those present that every disciple has been entrusted with a mission from God. Remaining focused on Christ enables us to persevere through life’s challenges, struggles, and uncertainties while remaining faithful to that mission.

Following the recollection, the ministers gathered in Dewan Fatima for fellowship, a brief meeting, and preparations for the upcoming Eucharistic Procession.

Let us continue to pray for our Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion as they faithfully serve the parish community and bring the Body of Christ to the sick, elderly, and homebound.

Global Rosary for Peace with Pope Leo XIV ๐Ÿ™

The Church of Our Lady of Fatima will join Catholics across the world in responding to Pope Leo XIV’s invitation to pray for peace through the Rosary.

This gathering offers the faithful an opportunity to unite spiritually with the universal Church in praying for an end to conflict, healing for those affected by war and violence, and a renewed commitment to peace among nations and peoples.

In a world often marked by division and uncertainty, prayer remains a powerful witness of faith, hope, and solidarity. Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we entrust the needs of the world to God, asking for the gift of peace in our families, communities, and nations.

All are encouraged to participate in this special evening of prayer and Eucharistic devotion.

Ecological Spirituality and Ecological Leadership Formation ๐ŸŒฟ

On Saturday, 24 May 2026, 71 participants from the Negeri Sembilan district gathered at the Church of the Visitation for a formation session on Ecological Spirituality and Ecological Leadership.

The session focused on the theme of Ecological Conversion and the importance of caring for creation, inspired by Pope Francisโ€™ encyclical Laudato Siโ€™. Participants reflected on practical and meaningful ways individuals and parish communities can take responsibility in protecting and nurturing the environment.

The gathering also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, share parish initiatives, and explore ways of collaboration in promoting ecological awareness and stewardship.

As a symbolic gesture of commitment to care for creation, Fr. Andrew Manickam and Fr. Xavier Andrew planted a tree at the conclusion of the session, reminding all that even small acts can contribute meaningfully towards caring for our common home.

The day was filled with learning, fellowship, sharing, and joyful interaction among participants.

The Archdiocesan Creation Justice Ministry extends its appreciation to the parish Creation Justice Ministry and wishes them every blessing in their stewardship journey.

Pentecost Sunday | The Birthday of the Church

Pentecost Sunday was celebrated joyfully at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima as the parish welcomed a meaningful milestone in the faith journey of the newly baptized Catholics of the parish.

During the 10:30 AM Mass, the Neophytes were commissioned by Fr. Andrew Manickam, formally marking the conclusion of their RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) journey and their sending forth as active members of the Church.

In a special moment during the rite, the congregation was also invited to renew its commitment to accompany and encourage the newly baptized in living out their faith and mission within the parish community.

The commissioning reminds us that Pentecost is not only the celebration of the birth of the Church, but also a call for every Christian to become witnesses of the Gospel through prayer, service, charity, and daily living.

May the Holy Spirit continue to guide and strengthen our Neophytes as they grow in faith and serve as missionary disciples in the Church and the world.
