Diamond Jubilee Prayer

Dear Lord and Father of us all,

We come before You once more to thank You for blessing us to be part of this parish dedicated to the Blessed Mother – Our Lady of Fatima.

We thank you for these past sixty years; for all the priests who have served in our parish and for their untiring efforts on our behalf; for all the volunteers and parishioners who practice neighbourly love in action; and for the children in our parish who bring so much joy into our lives.

Most of all, we thank you Lord, for Our Blessed Mother, for her watchful presence over our parish and our families all these years.

She has stood with us in good times and bad, our strength and consolation through plagues and floods, sharing our grief and our joy.

Grant that we may we imitate her virtues and follow her example in doing Your will always and till the end remain faithful, Lord, to You.

We hope one day to join Our Lady and the saintly shepherd children to sing your praise forever with the Saints and Angels in glad reunion with all who have gone before.

We make this prayer through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
