Past hurts, disappointments, regrets, fears, grief and unresolved experiences can remain with us, sometimes affecting our relationships, our choices and the way we move forward.
The OLF Formation Ministry invites parishioners and friends to “Carrying Baggage: A Reflection on Less Baggage, More Freedom”, a psycho-spiritual reflection exploring the emotional and spiritual burdens we may be carrying and how we can begin to recognise and address them.

Sometimes, moving forward begins with recognising what we have been carrying — and what we may finally be ready to put down.
The Archdiocesan Mission of New Evangelisation for Christ (AMNEC) is inviting parishioners to register for the Christ-like Listening Seminar, a two-weekend formation programme designed to help Christians develop the art of listening in the spirit of Jesus.
Led by Fr. Dominic Sultana, the seminar explores how attentive, compassionate listening can deepen relationships, accompany others in their faith journey and become an effective way of sharing the Gospel.
Participants will learn practical approaches to:
Listen without trying to fix people.
Discern where God may be at work in another person’s life.
Ask questions that open hearts.
Accompany others with healthy boundaries.
Build Christ-centred conversations that lead to deeper faith.
The seminar will be held over two weekends:

On 20 July 2026, the Church of Our Lady of Fatima had the privilege of welcoming a delegation of 20 senior police and law enforcement officials from 13 countries, as part of a programme organised through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Following six days of conferences and knowledge-sharing sessions, the delegation spent their final day in Malaysia visiting several places of worship to better understand how different faith communities peacefully coexist within the country’s diverse society.
Rev. Fr. Andrew Manickam warmly welcomed the visitors and introduced them to the life of the parish and the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur under the pastoral leadership of Archbishop Julian Leow. He shared how the Church of Our Lady of Fatima strives to be a welcoming community where the values of compassion, forgiveness and peace are nurtured and lived out. He also spoke about the parish’s devotion to Our Blessed Mother, whose loving intercession continues to inspire and strengthen the faithful.
Reflecting on the unique character of Brickfields, Fr. Andrew highlighted the harmonious relationship shared among the various places of worship along Jalan Tun Sambanthan. He also expressed appreciation for the close cooperation and support provided by the officers of IPD Brickfields, whose assistance helps ensure the safety and smooth running of major religious celebrations.
Members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome they received and valued the opportunity to visit a Catholic church and experience Malaysia’s spirit of mutual respect and hospitality. Fr. Andrew, in turn, thanked the delegates for their dedicated service to their respective nations and for their shared commitment to promoting peace and security.
The visit concluded with fellowship and friendly conversations over refreshments in Dewan Fatima, fostering new friendships and a deeper appreciation of dialogue, understanding and peaceful coexistence.
