Special Devotional Prayer in Honour of Our Lady of Fatima – 13 June 2026

The Church of Our Lady of Fatima warmly invites all parishioners and friends to join us for the monthly 13th Day Devotion in Honour of Our Lady of Fatima.

This devotion commemorates the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children β€” Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta β€” in Fatima, Portugal, in 1917. Through her message, Our Lady called the faithful to prayer, conversion, penance, and devotion to her Immaculate Heart.

The monthly devotion provides an opportunity for us to gather in prayer, entrusting our families, parish, nation, and the world to the maternal care and intercession of Our Blessed Mother. Through the Rosary, Eucharistic celebration, and prayers of reparation, we seek to deepen our relationship with Christ and renew our commitment to living the Gospel faithfully.

🌹 Novena to Our Lady of Fatima – 5.30 PM
✝️ Holy Eucharist – 6.00 PM

Corpus Christi Procession 2026

On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, parishioners and visitors gathered for the annual Corpus Christi Celebration and Eucharistic Procession, publicly witnessing their faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Following the celebration of Holy Mass, the faithful accompanied the Blessed Sacrament in procession through the streets of Brickfields. This cherished tradition is both an act of worship and a public proclamation of the Church’s belief that Christ is truly present β€” Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity β€” in the Eucharist.

Carried reverently by Fr. Andrew Manickam in the Monstrance, the Blessed Sacrament was sheltered beneath a baldachin borne by members of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC). The baldachin serves as a sign of honour and reverence, reflecting the dignity due to Christ present in the Eucharist.

Throughout the procession, hymns of praise filled the streets as altar servers, ministers, flower girls, and members of the congregation accompanied Our Lord in prayer. The ringing of bells, the fragrance of incense, the scattering of rose petals, and the glow of candlelight created a prayerful atmosphere of devotion and thanksgiving.

At various points along the route, blessings were imparted upon the surrounding neighbourhood and community, reminding all present that Christ walks among His people and continues to bless the world through His Eucharistic presence.

As the faithful sang together:

“O Sacrament Most Holy,
O Sacrament Divine,
All praise and all thanksgiving,
Be every moment Thine.”

may the celebration of Corpus Christi continue to deepen our love for the Eucharist and strengthen our commitment to live as faithful disciples of Christ.

Solemnity of Corpus Christi | Why Do We Process with the Blessed Sacrament?

As we prepare to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, we invite you to reflect on the profound meaning of one of the Church’s most beautiful traditions β€” the Eucharistic Procession.

Many people are familiar with seeing Catholics walk in procession behind the Blessed Sacrament, often accompanied by candles, hymns, incense, and a ceremonial canopy known as a baldachin. Yet these outward signs point to a much deeper reality.

Corpus Christi is a public proclamation of our belief that Jesus Christ is truly present in the Holy Eucharist β€” Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. The Eucharistic Procession is an opportunity for the faithful to accompany Our Lord beyond the walls of the church and into the streets of our community, witnessing to the central mystery of our faith.

The baldachin carried above the Blessed Sacrament is a sign of honour and reverence, recalling the ancient tradition of sheltering a king. As Catholics, we recognise Christ as our Lord and King, and we accompany Him with prayer, devotion, and thanksgiving.

In a recent address, Pope Leo XIV encouraged Catholics throughout the world to preserve this beautiful tradition, describing Corpus Christi processions as a powerful public witness of faith.

This short video offers a glimpse into the meaning and significance of Corpus Christi and invites all to participate in this year’s celebration.

May it inspire a deeper love for Our Eucharistic Lord and a renewed appreciation for the gift of His abiding presence among us.

“In the Eucharist we contemplate Jesus, bread broken and given for each one of us.”
β€” Pope Leo XIV

Solemnity of Corpus Christi

The Church of Our Lady of Fatima warmly invites all parishioners and visitors to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, one of the most significant feasts of the Church’s liturgical year.

On this day, we give thanks for the gift of the Holy Eucharist and profess our faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Corpus Christi is a celebration of Christ’s abiding presence among His people β€” nourishing, strengthening, and accompanying us on our journey of faith.

A special highlight of the celebration will be the Candlelight Eucharistic Procession, a public witness of our faith as we accompany the Blessed Sacrament in prayer and devotion. In response to Pope Leo XIV’s recent encouragement to keep alive the beautiful tradition of Corpus Christi processions, we are invited to come together as a parish community to honour Our Lord present in the Eucharist.

Pope Leo XIV Encourages the Faithful to Keep Corpus Christi Processions Alive

Ahead of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi), Pope Leo XIV has encouraged Catholics throughout the world to preserve and participate in the cherished tradition of Corpus Christi processions.

Speaking during his General Audience, the Holy Father reflected on the importance of these public expressions of faith, describing them as a beautiful witness to belief in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. He noted that Eucharistic processions continue to be a powerful manifestation of devotion in many towns, cities, and countries across the world.

“In the Eucharist we contemplate Jesus, bread broken and given for each one of us,” the Pope reminded the faithful.

The Solemnity of Corpus Christi invites Catholics to deepen their love for the Blessed Sacrament and to publicly profess their faith in Christ’s presence in the Eucharist. Through prayer, adoration, and Eucharistic processions, the faithful bear witness to the central mystery of our faith and bring Christ into the heart of our communities.

Pope Leo XIV also took the opportunity to assure priests and religious serving in the Middle East of his prayers and support, and encouraged religious communities throughout the world to remain signs of hope for those seeking God, truth, and peace.

As our parish prepares to celebrate Corpus Christi, may we heed the Holy Father’s invitation by participating wholeheartedly in the liturgical celebrations and Eucharistic Procession, giving public witness to our faith in the Lord who remains with us in the Blessed Sacrament.
