Kasih Meal 5 – Reaching Out Through the Corporal Works of Mercy

The OLF Parish Integral Human Development Ministry (PIHD), through the OLF Mission Volunteers, will carry out Kasih Meal 5 on Monday, 31 August 2026, continuing the parish’s outreach to those in need.

The initiative will reach out to 40 individuals, particularly DBKL contract workers, with each recipient receiving a bag of rice, cooking oil and biscuits.

Through this simple act of giving, the initiative seeks to put the Corporal Works of Mercy into practice and remind us that Christian charity calls us to recognise the dignity of those whom we encounter and to share generously with those in need.

As Pope Leo reminds us, almsgiving invites us to stop, encounter the poor personally and share something of ourselves with them.
