As part of our Father’s Day observance, parishioners gathered to remember and pray for their deceased fathers and grandfathers with gratitude, love, and faith.

Throughout the day, candles were lit in their memory and prayer intentions were placed in the petition box, entrusting them to the loving mercy of God and seeking the intercession of St. Joseph, foster father of Jesus and patron of fathers.

Father’s Day provides a special opportunity to give thanks for the men who have shaped our lives through their love, sacrifice, guidance, and example. Though they may no longer be with us, their influence continues to live on in our families, our faith, and the values they passed on to future generations.

As a parish community, we remember all deceased fathers and grandfathers in prayer, asking the Lord to grant them eternal rest and everlasting peace.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

In conjunction with Father’s Day this weekend (20 & 21 June 2026), the OLF Youth Ministry warmly invites parishioners to visit their special booth this weekend and take part in a meaningful initiative to honour fathers and father figures.

Parishioners will have the opportunity to write messages of appreciation, wishes, or prayer intentions for their fathers, grandfathers, guardians, mentors, and all those who have played a fatherly role in their lives.

The booth will be available during the Sunset Mass and before the 10.30am Mass. All messages received will be prayerfully presented during the Offertory at the 10.30am Mass as a sign of gratitude and remembrance.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, let us take a moment to thank God for the fathers and father figures who have guided, supported, and loved us throughout our lives.

In the spirit of the Gospel and the Church’s call to serve those in need, parishioners from the Church of Our Lady of Fatima participated in an outreach mission to Kerling and Kuala Selangor on 16 June 2026.

Working together with OLF’s Inter-Human Development (IHD), the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP), and the Creation Justice Ministry (CJM), volunteers visited families facing financial and social challenges, distributing provisions and offering encouragement, solidarity, and hope.

This outreach reflects the vision expressed by the Second Vatican Council in Gaudium et Spes, which reminds us that the joys, hopes, griefs, and anxieties of those who are poor and afflicted are also the concerns of Christ’s followers. Through simple acts of generosity and service, the parish seeks to respond to this call by accompanying those who are most vulnerable within our communities.

The parish extends its heartfelt gratitude to all benefactors, volunteers, and supporters whose generosity made this mission possible. Their contributions continue to bring relief, dignity, and hope to families in need.

May God bless all who serve, give, and support these efforts as we continue to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world.

The Archdiocesan Prayer Ministry invites parishioners and friends to join a pilgrimage to the Church of St. Thomas, Kuantan, in celebration of the Feast of St. Thomas and the parish’s 120th anniversary.

Often remembered as “Doubting Thomas,” St. Thomas is more accurately remembered as a disciple whose sincere search for truth led him to one of the most profound professions of faith in the Gospel: “My Lord and my God!” Through his encounter with the Risen Christ, St. Thomas reminds us that authentic faith is not the absence of questions, but the willingness to seek Christ with an open heart.

This pilgrimage offers an opportunity for prayer, fellowship, and spiritual renewal as pilgrims gather to celebrate the life and witness of St. Thomas together with the faithful of Kuantan.

In this Jubilee Year of St. Francis of Assisi, may the example of St. Thomas encourage us to deepen our trust in the Lord and strengthen our commitment to living the Gospel each day.

On the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, parishioners and visitors gathered for the annual Corpus Christi Celebration and Eucharistic Procession, publicly witnessing their faith in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Following the celebration of Holy Mass, the faithful accompanied the Blessed Sacrament in procession through the streets of Brickfields. This cherished tradition is both an act of worship and a public proclamation of the Church’s belief that Christ is truly present — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity — in the Eucharist.

Carried reverently by Fr. Andrew Manickam in the Monstrance, the Blessed Sacrament was sheltered beneath a baldachin borne by members of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC). The baldachin serves as a sign of honour and reverence, reflecting the dignity due to Christ present in the Eucharist.

Throughout the procession, hymns of praise filled the streets as altar servers, ministers, flower girls, and members of the congregation accompanied Our Lord in prayer. The ringing of bells, the fragrance of incense, the scattering of rose petals, and the glow of candlelight created a prayerful atmosphere of devotion and thanksgiving.

At various points along the route, blessings were imparted upon the surrounding neighbourhood and community, reminding all present that Christ walks among His people and continues to bless the world through His Eucharistic presence.

As the faithful sang together:

“O Sacrament Most Holy,
O Sacrament Divine,
All praise and all thanksgiving,
Be every moment Thine.”

may the celebration of Corpus Christi continue to deepen our love for the Eucharist and strengthen our commitment to live as faithful disciples of Christ.

As we prepare to celebrate the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, special parking arrangements have been made to accommodate the expected number of parishioners and visitors attending the evening celebration and Eucharistic Procession.

The parish kindly requests all attendees to make use of the designated parking locations indicated in the notice. These arrangements have been coordinated to ensure the smooth flow of traffic, facilitate the procession route, and minimise inconvenience to residents and other road users in the surrounding area.

Your cooperation will assist the organising team and volunteers in creating a safe and prayerful environment for all who will be participating in this important celebration of our faith.

n conjunction with the Wesak Day celebrations, members of the Parish Ministry of Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs (PMEIA) joined volunteers from the Church of Our Lady of Fatima in a simple yet meaningful outreach to pilgrims and visitors at the Buddhist Maha Vihara, Brickfields.

Through the distribution of vegetarian meals, parish volunteers had the opportunity to extend a gesture of hospitality, service, and goodwill to members of the wider community gathered for the celebrations.

This initiative reflects the Church’s commitment to fostering mutual respect, understanding, and friendship among people of different faith traditions. In a diverse society such as ours, opportunities for encounter and service help build bridges between communities and strengthen the spirit of harmony that enriches our nation.

The parish extends its sincere appreciation to the members of PMEIA and all volunteers who contributed their time and effort towards this outreach. Their willingness to serve is a reminder that acts of kindness, no matter how simple, can become powerful expressions of solidarity and neighbourly love.

In conjunction with World Environment Day, members from across the Archdiocese gathered at Taman Tugu, Kuala Lumpur, for a morning nature walk organised by the Archdiocesan Creation Justice Ministry.

Participants explored the various trails within this unique urban forest, taking time to appreciate the richness and diversity of creation found within the heart of the city. Along the way, they encountered colourful butterflies, dragonflies, birds, frogs, and a variety of flora, offering moments of wonder and reflection amidst nature’s beauty.

Beyond the physical activity, the gathering provided an opportunity for participants to experience the practice of “forest bathing” — slowing down, being present, and reconnecting with the natural environment. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of creation, many found renewed appreciation for the gift of God’s creation and the importance of protecting it for future generations.

World Environment Day serves as a reminder that caring for creation begins with small and intentional actions. Inspired by the teachings of Laudato Si’, the Archdiocesan Creation Justice Ministry encourages all people to take practical steps towards environmental stewardship and responsible care for our common home.

As we continue to enjoy the beauty of creation, may we also deepen our commitment to safeguarding it for the benefit of all.
