St. Gertrude’s Prayer & Remembrance of the Holy Souls

In preparation for the Novena Masses, parishioners are invited to remember their departed family members and loved ones through prayer.

Names of the departed may be written on a piece of paper and placed in the designated box before the statue of Our Lady of Fatima. These intentions will be included in the Holy Mass each day from 5 May to 12 May.

This is a meaningful opportunity for the parish community to come together in prayer, entrusting the souls of the faithful departed to God’s mercy and love.

Tamil Charismatic Rally 2026 | 01 May 2026

A total of 248 participants from across the Archdiocese gathered at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima, Brickfields, for the Tamil Charismatic Rally 2026 — a Spirit-filled day of praise, worship, Eucharistic Adoration, and healing prayers.

The highlight of the rally was the sharing by Rev. Fr. Peter Anthoney, who encouraged all to surrender to the Holy Spirit and trust in God’s divine plan. He reflected on the Four Pillars of the Catholic Faith — Creed, Sacraments, Life in Christ, and Prayer — reminding the faithful that these form the foundation of a complete and living faith.

Participants were also led into deeper reflection on the Holy Trinity and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, which guide and strengthen us in our spiritual journey.

The rally was a grace-filled and uplifting experience, renewing hearts and deepening faith among all who attended.

Special thanks to our Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Andrew Manickam, for providing us with this meaningful opportunity.

Journeying with St. Francis of Assisi — Jubilee Year Pilgrimage | 01 May 2026

In conjunction with the Jubilee Year dedicated to St. Francis of Assisi, the KL Archdiocesan Prayer Ministry organised a pilgrimage to Ipoh, bringing together 132 pilgrims for a day of prayer, reflection, and fellowship.

The pilgrimage began at the Chapel of St. Francis of Assisi, Tasek, where many participants made their first visit. The group participated in the Eucharistic Celebration, with reflections centred on the life and spirituality of St. Francis — a saint deeply united with Christ.

Fr. Andrew encouraged pilgrims to carry home the spiritual fruits of the pilgrimage, while also reflecting on the quiet yet steadfast faith of St. Joseph, inviting all to grow in trust and devotion.

The journey continued with visits to the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Silibin, where the history of the church and its altar — depicting the Last Supper — was shared, and the Church of St. Joseph, Batu Gajah, where pilgrims gathered to pray the Rosary and reflect on the heritage of the parish.

The KL Archdiocesan Prayer Ministry extends its sincere appreciation to the parish communities for their warm hospitality and welcome.

This pilgrimage served as a meaningful reminder of the grace found in journeying together in faith.
