119 Participants Take to the Streets for Green Hunt KL

The streets of Brickfields became the setting for Green Hunt KL on 25 August 2026, as 119 participants from across the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur took part in an activity combining teamwork, problem-solving and environmental awareness.

The event began at the Church of Our Lady of Fatima, where Archbishop Julian Leow flagged off the participants before joining his own team for the hunt.

Working in teams, participants followed clues through Brickfields, unscrambled words, identified buildings and deciphered signs while making their way through the neighbourhood. They later travelled by LRT from KL Sentral to Kelana Jaya, continuing to answer questions along the journey before assembling at the Church of St Ignatius for the concluding activities and lunch.

Organised by the Archdiocesan Creation Justice Ministry, Green Hunt KL sought to make environmental awareness engaging and practical. The activity encouraged teamwork, responsible use of public transport and simple actions that participants can take in caring for our common home.

The Archdiocesan Creation Justice Ministry expressed its appreciation to Archbishop Julian for participating in the event and to everyone who contributed towards making the Green Hunt an enjoyable and meaningful experience.
