A Thanksgiving Mass was celebrated at the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Butterworth, where special prayers were offered for those bearing the names Anne and Joachim, in conjunction with the Memorial of Saints Joachim and Anne.
The congregation also prayed for the eternal repose of former priests who had served the parish, as well as priests who originated from the parish, remembering Fr. George Belleville, Fr. Alexander Edwin, Fr. Gregory Hwatt, Fr. Michael Sinappan, and Fr. Pathinathan with gratitude for their faithful service to the Church.
The Archdiocesan Prayer Ministry extends its heartfelt appreciation to Fr. Dominic Santhiyagu, Fr. David Lourdes, and Fr. Bernard Hyacinth for their gracious hospitality in welcoming the pilgrims. Special thanks are also conveyed to Philo, the parish sacristan, for the diligent & dedicated service in preparing the liturgical celebration.
The pilgrimage concluded with thanksgiving for the many graces received and with prayers that all participants would return home renewed in faith and strengthened to continue their Christian journey.
