With major football tournaments capturing the attention of fans around the world, Fr. Andrew Manickam offers a simple but important reminder to parishioners: while it is enjoyable to support our favourite teams and share in the excitement of the matches, our commitment to God and participation in the Holy Mass must always remain a priority.

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life. Amidst busy schedules, late-night matches, and the excitement of sporting events, we are called to continue setting aside time for worship, prayer, and active participation in the sacred liturgy.

Fr. Andrew also encourages those who may be working, travelling, or driving during this period to exercise prudence and ensure they get adequate rest for their own safety and the safety of others.
