Novena to Our Lady of Fatima 2026 — Day 9
“Mary — Model of Evangelisation”

The Church of Our Lady of Fatima joyfully concluded its Parish Feast Day celebrations on 13 May 2026 with a deeply prayerful evening centred on the theme, “Mary, Model of Evangelisation.”
The celebrations began with Holy Adoration and the Holy Rosary, as parishioners and pilgrims gathered to pray for the parish community, the sick, and the intentions carried in their hearts.
The Feast Day Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Archbishop Julian Leow together with Fr. Michael Adawai, Fr. Michel Dass, Fr. Simon Agbo, and Fr. Andrew Manickam, with Br. John Robertson also present.
In his homily, Archbishop Julian reflected on the importance of listening to and living out the Word of God. Drawing from the Gospel of Luke, he reminded the faithful that Mary’s life was a beautiful witness of discipleship — listening attentively to God, carrying Christ to others, glorifying God through the Magnificat, and remaining faithful even at the foot of the Cross.
The Archbishop encouraged the faithful to imitate Mary by sharing the joy of the Gospel through acts of charity, service, prayer, and witness in daily life.
Following Mass, clergy and faithful took part in the candlelight procession through the streets of Brickfields. Carrying candles and Rosaries, parishioners prayerfully journeyed together in a powerful public witness of faith and devotion to Our Lady of Fatima.
The celebrations concluded with fellowship and dinner as parishioners gathered in thanksgiving and joy.
May Our Blessed Mother continue to guide and intercede for our parish community as we journey together in faith.
பாத்திமா அன்னை திருவிழா 2026 — “அன்னை மரியா நற்செய்தி அறிவிப்பின் முன்மாதிரி”
பாத்திமா அன்னை பங்கின் திருவிழாத் திருப்பலியில் பேராயர் ஜூலியன் லியாவ் அவர்களின் மறையுரைக்குப் பின்னர், அருட்தந்தை மைக்கேல் தாஸ் அவர்கள் “அன்னை மரியா நற்செய்தி அறிவிப்பின் முன்மாதிரி” என்ற தலைப்பில் தமிழில் மறையுரை வழங்கினார்.
அன்னை மரியாள் தமது வாழ்வின் வழியாகவே நற்செய்தியை அறிவித்தவர் என அவர் எடுத்துரைத்தார். இயேசுவின் பிறப்பிலிருந்து சிலுவை மரணம் வரை, தமது மகனின் வாழ்வுப் பயணத்தில் அசைக்க முடியாத நம்பிக்கையுடனும் தாழ்ச்சியுடனும் உடனிருந்தார் என்று அவர் விளக்கினார்.
மேலும், நாமும் நமது குடும்பம் மற்றும் சமூகமும், அன்றாட வாழ்வின் வழியாக நற்செய்தி அறிவிப்புப் பணியை செய்கிறோமா என்ற கேள்வியையும் முன் வைத்தார்.
பாத்திமா நகரில் மூன்று இடையர் குழந்தைகளுக்குக் காட்சியளித்த அன்னை மரியாள், உலகின் பல இடங்களில் மக்களின் துன்ப நேரங்களிலும் நம்பிக்கையின் அடையாளமாகத் தோன்றியுள்ளார் என்றும் அவர் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
மகிழ்ச்சி, அமைதி, தாழ்ச்சி, நம்பிக்கை ஆகிய மாதாவின் பண்புகள் முதலில் நமது குடும்பங்களில் வாழப்பட வேண்டும் என்றும் அவர் வலியுறுத்தினார். குடும்பம் என்பது அன்பும் மகிழ்ச்சியும் நிறைந்த இடமாக இருக்க வேண்டும்; பிளவுகளும் காயங்களும் ஏற்படும் இடமாக இருந்திடக் கூடாது என அறிவுறுத்தினார்.
